Frequently asked questions
Per Premium Residency policies, the selected property must be structurally completed, valuated by a Taqeem appraiser, and have a registered Title Deed (freehold or long-term usufruct). Pure off-plan purchases without a registered ownership title are ineligible. We recommend choosing hand-over ready buildings.
No, the nominated qualifying real estate must be entirely mortgage-free and free of secondary debt encumbrances. The minimum requirement of SAR 4,000,000 must be funded directly and cleanly by the applicant's own reserves.
You may sell the initial qualifying asset, but to secure continuous validity of your Premium Residency, you must purchase a replacement compliant real estate asset valued over SAR 4,000,000 within 90 calendar days.
Under Saudi regulations, foreign nationals are prohibited from buying absolute freehold property within the holy cities of Makkah and Medina. However, the program permits securing a long-term usufruct (leasehold) of up to 99 years in those jurisdictions to qualify.
The Premium Residency translates to an elite long-term residency status and does not automatically transition to nationality or citizenship by investment. Royal naturalization processes are separate and rely on unique royal decrees for services to the state.
